Wake Forest's Z. Smith Reynolds Library wasn't short on books. It was short on control. With over a million volumes and a growing off-site collection, relying on a third-party storage provider meant rising costs, limited access, and less visibility into their own materials.
When the university acquired its own warehouse, they saw an opportunity to do things differently. Working with Patterson Pope, they turned a 54-foot-tall space into a high-bay storage system built specifically for books—maximizing vertical space while improving access, organization, and long-term scalability.
Now, Wake Forest has full control of its collection, expanded capacity, and more usable space back on campus. Download the case study and watch the video to see how they took their library. storage to a whole new level.
