The newly constructed NCH Healthcare Northeast Emergency Department in Naples, Florida, had a challenge hiding in plain sight: a back-up supply room measuring just 420 square feet. While no surgeries are performed here, the need for gloves, syringes, IV solutions, pharmacy backup, and other critical supplies never stops.
With limited space and no on-site central distribution, traditional shelving wasn't going to cut it.
Instead, NCH looked up. Partnering with Patterson Pope, they implemented vertical carousel (Rotomat®) systems that take full advantage of ceiling height, delivering supplies directly to staff while dramatically increasing capacity in the same footprint.
