When renovations at Cincinnati's Union Terminal required relocating more than a million books, manuscripts, and thousands of artifacts, the nearby Geier Collections and Research Center took on the challenge. But the existing space wasn't designed to handle that volume or the variety of materials involved.
By implementing high-density mobile shelving and specialized storage systems, the team was able to significantly expand capacity while keeping collections organized, protected, and easy to access.
Now priceless historical items—from fine art to zoological specimens—are stored with the care and efficiency they require, all within a space built to support both current needs and future growth.
